Rupantaran Nepal organizes debates on education, employment and development issues.
Debate on Strengthening Public Education:
On 25 February 2012 Rupantaran Nepal has organized a debate to Strengthen public education. In the program educationists Prof. Dr. Man Prasad Wagle, Prof. Dr. Bidhyanath Koirala and the Founder of Rupantaran Nepal Mr. Yogendra Shahi presented a comprehensive paper to strengthen public education in cooperation with the private sector. In the program, senior education experts, former Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University and Former Nepali ambassador to Japan and Kedar Bhakta Mathema, Former ambassador to India and Prof. Dr. Harsh Narayan Dhabaudel were the key speakers on the issue, and student leaders Himal Sharma, president of All Nepal National Free Student Union (Revolutionary); Madhav Dhungel, president of All Nepal National Free Student Union; and Karna Shahi, president N-PABSON; Supravat Bhandari, president of the Nepal Guardian Association, Buddhi Tamang, campaigner of Appreciative Inquiry Approach were among the commentators in the interactive program. Rupantaran Nepal’s team Mohan Shahi, Sita Bohora, Surya Basnet, Pankaj Kathayet coordinated and facilitated the program.
Debate on youth voluntarism aftermath of the Earthquake Disaster:
Rupantaran Nepal has conducted an interaction with leaders of political youth and students on 5th June 2015 at Hotel Summit in association with Demo-Finland. In the program the president and central leaders of 35 political youth and student organization had attended the interaction. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Porusuttam Paudel has attended the program as a chief guest. He concluded his remarks after hearing the views of all youth and student leaders on modality to mobilize volunteers after earthquake disaster in an integrated manner. He pointed out that the initiation to mobilize volunteers by the Ministry has great importance that it brings all volunteers in coordination and in due recognition of their work by the government. It has opened up the perspective of youth mobilization in coming days. The volunteer working guidelines can be revised in coming days to make it more engaging political and civil society youth organizations. Mr. Dipendranath Sharma, the Secertary of Ministry has presented the situation report carried out by the ministry. In the program, Joint Secrretary of the Ministry , Chudamani Sharma; Demo-Finland Country Director Rakesh Karna, Youth Vision 2025 Members Pramod Sharma, Saroj Dilu Biswakarma and Sabita Sharma were among the participants. Youth Vision 2025 coordinator Yogendra Shahi had facilitated the program.
